| 1. What is that "stuff" on my bark? |

That ”stuff” is a fungus that appears when the humidity is high. It may be ugly but it does not cause harm to plants or animals. It can be left as it is or flipped over with a fork or shovel. |

A harp screen is used to screen coarse soils. It is a grid with wires 3/8” apart. It only allows the good soil through discarding the larger chunks, stones and bigger sticks creating a quality screened soil. |
| 4. Is your soil treated for weeds? |
| |
No, our soils are not treated for weeds or their seeds. Weed seeds are carried everywhere by wind, birds, etc. making it too difficult to keep soils weed free. We do have products available to inhibit weed seed germination for your planting soil and bark mulches. There are also products available for lawn weeds after you seed your lawn. But use caution as they may damage a new lawn. |
| 5. Why does my bark mulch steam? |
| |
Bark mulches tend to heat up as they break down causing steam. It is a good idea to let mulch cool down before placing around annuals and perennials to avoid damage. |
| 6. Can we pick out our own rocks? |
| |
Yes, you can pick out your own rocks to take at that time or have them delivered. |
